Pop Out: Song By Polo G

Pop Out is always going to be one of those songs that gets played in a full car. Me and my friends always go bar for bar with each part of the song. There are some tracks you can play in the car and people will just sit back, vibe, and enjoy the music but, not this one. When Pop Out comes on, it’s different. We don’t just listen, but we perform. We all try to claim parts of the song, whether it’s Polo G’s verse or Lil Tjay’s feature. 

Whoever was driving whether we were going to lunch, dinner, or anywhere else, we always knew this song was going to be played at some point. It was guaranteed. There’s not a lot that my friends and I always agree on, but when it comes to music, there are a few songs that none of us can hate on. Pop Out is definitely one of them.

Now, whenever I hear it, I get hit with a wave of nostalgia. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve heard it when it pops up in my playlist, it never gets skipped. The volume goes up, always. This was one of the first songs I learned word for word, and sometimes it feels like my mind is rapping the lyrics even faster than the track itself.

They made a remix of the song, but it just wasn’t the same. It felt like half the song was missing. When I first heard it, something about it felt incomplete like they took away what made the original so powerful. It didn’t carry the same energy, the same vibe, or the same memories.
